台湾での初めての個展、『淡水魚展』の様子です。展示会を開催して下さいました滿足藝術中心のオーナー様、ご購入くださいました方、ありがとうございました。
This is my first solo exhibition in Taiwan, “Freshwater Fish Exhibition”. Thank you to the owner of CHRISTY ART GALLERY for holding the exhibition and to everyone who purchased our works.

The owner, the purchaser, the interpreter, and me
この展示では、一貫して金魚をモチーフとしています。金魚は中華圏でも、日本でも、風水的にも古くから愛されています。私はこのように人々の思い入れが宿ったものを題材に描くことを、大事であると考えます。古くからの人々の思い入れが、現在に伝達され、そして未来につながっていきます。金魚は中華圏から、日本にも広まり、地域的にも受け継がれてきました。こうした、過去から現在、中華圏から日本というように、時間的にも、地域的にも受け継がれていくのは、そこに人々がいてこそだと思います。
また、この展示の作品群には、輪郭の赤線が部分的に残されています。日本で生まれ育った私の深層心理は、日本のサブカル、アニメ、漫画が大きな影響を与えています。絵を書くときも自然に漫画的になるし、また、時として、現実認識の際もアニメの世界のような考え方をしてしまうことさえあります。それでも輪郭線では描き切れない部分に出くわすと、そこでは輪郭線は消えてしまいます。これらの作品群では、そうしたもののとらえ方が葛藤しているといえます。
This exhibition consistently uses goldfish as a motif. Goldfish have been loved for a long time in Feng Shui, both in Greater China and Japan. I think it is important to draw on subjects that people have strong feelings for. The feelings of people from ancient times are passed on to the present and will lead to the future. Goldfish spread from Greater China to Japan, where they have been passed down from region to region. I believe that it is because of the people there that these traditions can be passed down both temporally and regionally, from the past to the present, from Greater China to Japan.
In addition, some of the works in this exhibition still have red outlines. I was born and raised in Japan, and Japanese subcultures, anime, and manga have had a big influence on my psyche. When I draw, I naturally become manga-like, also, sometimes when I’m trying to recognize reality, I end up thinking like I’m in an anime world. However, if I come across a part that cannot be drawn with the outline, the outline will disappear there. In these works, it can be said that there is a conflict in the way these things are perceived.
